Publication Ethics

For publishing in a peer-reviewed, the following ethics topics must be considered according to COPE:

Paper authorship:  Authorship should be limited to those who have contributed significantly to the conception, design, implementation or interpretation of the reported study.

Originality and plagiarism:  Authors should confirm that the submitted works are original, and if they used works and/or words of others, they are cited or conveyed appropriately.

Multiple or concurrent publications: The corresponding author should ensure that the manuscript is submitted solely for Recent Research in Genetics and Genomics and that the whole or part of the research has not been published or sent elsewhere.

Acknowledgment of Sources: Authors should provide proper acknowledgment of the work of others.

Disclosure and conflicts of interest: Authors should disclose all relationships that may be considered as potential conflicts of interest.

Fundamental errors in published manuscript:  When the author discovers a major error or inaccuracy in his/her published work, the corresponding author should notify the journal editor or publisher immediately and cooperate with the editor to withdraw or correct the paper.

Hazards and human or animal rights: Compliance statements are required if the work involves chemicals, procedures or equipment that have any unusual risks inherent in their use, or if they involve the use of human or human beings.  All articles involving studies with humans or animals should be approved and authorized by the Ethics Committees for Research on Human Beings or on the animals of the institution to which the author (s) belong.
